Background: Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) increases
the risk of ischemic heart disease, stroke, and sudden cardiac death in patients with hypertension. The present study aims to determine the association of LVH in essential
hypertensive patients by electrocardiography and echocardiography.
Background: Hypertension has become as an important cause of premature mortality and morbidity due to its major etiologic role in the development of coronary artery disease (CAD), stroke and renal failure.
Background: Causes of death are less commonly known in developing countries. Due to religious considerations, autopsy is not possible in many countries, so alternative procedures like verbal
autopsy may be an important tool to determine causes of death in these countries.
Background. Hypertension is a major public health problem now a days. It plays a major etiologic role in the pathogenesis of coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure and renal failure.
Background: Uncontrolled hypertension is one of the major determinants of cardiovascular mortality and morbidity. Non-adherence to regular follow up is one of the main causes of inadequate control of blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
Materials and Methods: This was a cross sectional study, carried out in Hypertension and Research Center, Rangpur. Among the daily visited patients every odd patient was taken.
